- Job Duties:
- Directed by finisher or foreman to perform tasks involving physical labor for seasonal work at construction sites. Duties include: pounding stakes for forms, holding string line, shoveling gravel, running the chute from concrete truck, moving concrete with rake, stripping forms, cleaning forms/tools, cleaning up job sites, cleaning out job shacks, and waiting/watching concrete cure. Running the chute from a concrete truck while pouring concreate involves proper placement of the concrete chute from the truck to ensure that the pour is occurring in the proper location. The chute is moved by hand back and fourth, to spread out the concrete. By moving the chute, the concrete does not end up in a pile at the end of the chute. The laborer is not responsible for driving or otherwise operating the truck.
