Job Duties:

Duties may include: Set up safety barriers, signage, erosion and dust-control measures. Follow verbal instructions to organize materials and tools. Assist with tasks including trenching, backfilling, grading, compacting and shoveling. Position or dismantle concrete forms to achieve the desired alignment, pitch, and depth. Replace or repair damaged concrete by cutting out affected areas, drilling holes, and placing reinforcing rods. Signal truck driver to position truck and chute for pouring. Spread and level concrete with rakes and shovels. Mold expansion joints and create a rough surface with a broom. Use hand tools such as hammers, levels, grading rods, marking paint, stakes, picks, and signaling flags. May operate powered equipment like concrete mixers, drills, grinders, jackhammers, plate compactors, and saws. Clean and maintain work site and equipment through basic upkeep and lubrication as directed, while consistently wearing proper personal protective equipment & other related Construction Laborers activities as per SOC/OES 47-2051 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 due to government contracts. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 75lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
