Job Duties:

Pack candy into trays and boxes. Pack candy boxes into merchandise displays. Pack merchandise displays into storage boxes. Stack boxes onto pallets & wrap pallets. Label boxes accurately. Fold cardboard for merchandise displays. Fold cardboard food and storage boxes. Set up boxes in preparation for filling. Close box lids. Place glassine sheets in boxes. Place candy pieces in trays. Place materials in correct locations. Place trays in assigned area. Place empty tubs/trays on skids. Perform product re-work to correct imperfect products. Turn box direction for continuous flow. Arrange candy pieces in correct placement. Pat box lids to ensure closure. Guide boxes through machines such as metal-detection and shrink-wrap. Identify & remove imperfect product destined for re-work. Work at various stations on the assembly line. Dexterity and drug testing will be carried out equally between US workers and H2B workers. US workers are tested locally and the H-2B workers are tested before entering the USA. Work schedule 10 hours/day Monday-Thursday, 40 hrs/wk, morning shift 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM, afternoon shift 4:00 PM -2:00 AM. Workers assemble and package boxes of chocolate using continuous motion assembly conveyor lines and a heat shrink film tunnel machine. Also uses hand tools: hot glue gun and hot air tool for shrink-wrapping. Workers are stationed along an assembly line for the purposes of: placing chocolate candy pieces in blister trays, correcting blister trays if missing pieces, ensuring continuous product flow on the conveyor belt; ensuring box lids are fitted properly; folding paperboard & corrugate packaging for boxed chocolates; shrink-wrapping boxed chocolates; placing boxes of chocolate into shelf displays; placing displays into cartons; affixing sticker labels; and stacking finished cartons on pallets.

No education or experience required. Workers must have manual dexterity, including the ability to quickly move your hand together with your arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Requires prolonged standing and lifting of up to 50 lbs. Pre-employment dexterity and drug testing, upon suspicion and post accident drug-alcohol testing conducted at employers expense. Negative drug test results required prior to starting work. Must be 18 years old or older. FDA sanitation standards and requirements including personal hygiene and communicable disease apply. Hairnets/beard nets must be worn. Upon successful completion of the hiring process, the applicant will be scheduled for a paid 2 hour New Hire Orientation and Safety Training. Post-hire employment eligibility (e-Verify) check required of foreign and domestic workers. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary.
