Job Duties:

The Pool Construction Laborer assists with the physical tasks required for the construction of swimming pools, working under the direction of skilled workers. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning construction sites; loading, unloading, and moving materials such as stone, dirt, concrete, and equipment; and operating basic tools and equipment including shovels, spades, brooms, wheelbarrows, electric jackhammers, grinders, and mini track loaders. Laborers will dig trenches, perform demolition, and assist with placing and securing reinforcement materials and PVC piping using general hand tools, PVC glue, and hydraulic cement. Workers will support the installation process by mixing, carrying, and supplying mortar, thin-set, plaster, and other materials, and will assist skilled workers by holding, positioning, and preparing tile, coping, and plaster materials for installation. Duties involve general site clean-up, material staging, and performing basic tasks that support the construction of concrete pool shells, structural elements and plumbing components.

Special Requirements:

Requires six months of Construction Laborer experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Requires the ability to operate construction machinery and mechanical tools, perform basic mathematical calculations for measurement and layout, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. The worker must maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all safety protocols. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
