Job Duties:

We don’t use fertilizers or insecticides. We only work on jobs that may call for application of an herbicide. The jobs we work on call for application of the herbicides, glyphosate and flumioxazin, almost exclusively. There must be an employee (foreman or manager), that has a Certified Applicator License on the job. This is a state certification, and is required for each state that we work in. This person, the certified applicator, is a permanent employee of the company, and is the sole person responsible for any decision making regarding determining the formulas or mixtures, or types of chemicals that will be applied. They are also the sole person responsible for the mixing of the formulas, as well as the application method that will be used. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform the work described and must be available the entire period specified. Temporary full-time seasonal position Brush Clearer for utility Right of Way activities as per Soc/OES 37-3011. Duties: spray fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide on shrubs, trees, foliage, use hand/auto sprayers. Perform physical activities: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength exert max muscle force to push, pull, carry objects up to 50 lbs. Outdoors exposed to weather. Hrs/Wage may vary climate and area of work. Transport to from job location provided by employer on daily work days no cost to worker. 7A-5P M-F Drug, alcohol, tobacco free work zone; if Supervisor observes worker possibly under influence drugs/alcohol employer paid testing, failure to participate, failed test=dismissal.
