Job Duties:

Landscape or maintain state grounds of North Carolina by cleaning and mowing, using hand weed eaters, model Sthihl, and tractors, such as Ford 6640 or John Deer 5085E. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing (using a mower, weed eater or tractor, occasionally landscaping with a Bushog attachment), sod laying, trimming, planting, digging, raking and litter pick-up. Entry level; requires supervision.

Special Requirements:

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Driver's license required only of foreign and domestic workers who drive company vehicles (driving is not a requirement of all workers in the position). Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random, upon suspicion of use, and post-accident. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
