- Separate blocks of rough dimension stone from quarry mass using jackhammer and wedges. Duties may include using hammers, chisels, jack hammers or other means of separating stone slabs. Standard Operating Procedures for rock quarry workers is to work in teams to determine how stone slabs should be separated from rock quarry face in a safe manner.
