- Job Duties:
- Employees in the groundskeeping position will gather and remove litter/trash. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. All pruning and trimming of trees will be done above ground level. Spray or spread fertilizers, onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots by using a weed whacker specifically to weed around the edges. Garden tools will be used to trim the edges. Provide proper upkeep of fountains, planters, maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems . Mowing fairways, roughing trees, and approaches.

- Employees will work Mon-Sun, an average of 35 hrs./wk. Must be able to work up to 7 hours per shift between the hours of 8:00 am to 10:00 pm any day of the week, days off rotate, shifts vary. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, and must be flexible. Must be able to speak and understand English. No minimum education is required.
