- Job Duties:
- All pruning or trimming is done from the ground at ground level only. Prune or trim ornamental trees, shrubs, or hedges from the ground using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Limb trees by removing lower branches from the ground level. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage; pull weeds and clean flower beds; mow lawns and apply fertilizer to lawns. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes; plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring; plan or cultivate lawns or gardens. Must exercise independent judgment; may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees but position does not include supervision of other workers.

- Special Requirements:
- Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. When necessary post-hire, post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Workers will begin each day at the worksite address. They will then be transported, free of charge, to properties located throughout the area of intended employment, to perform duties. They will then be transported back to the worksite address at the end of each work day.
