The work zone would be either a parking lot or roadway whereby the Construction Laborer will use hand signals to direct traffic for a short period of time (approximately 5 minutes) to allow our trucks access to the job site. No signs are held by the Construction
Laborer, and the activities are performed on an as needed basis.
The crew cabs consist of a Ford F-250 or F-350. Approximately once per week, the Construction Laborer will wash the vehicles using soap, water, window cleaner, armor all, towels, and a pressure washer. Vacuums are used to clean the inside of the crew cabs.
The Construction Laborer also fuels the crew cabs nightly.
The Construction Laborer assists our skilled equipment operators by using shovels, asphalt rakes, plate compactors, and asphalt walk behind saws to better manipulate and transport the asphalt product during placement. The Construction Laborer needs to know
when to rake and clean up loose materials for the equipment operators.
The CDL Class A or B is preferred but not required and may be omitted from the job duties. A CDL is required to transport a pickup truck with a trailer hauling a skid loader. The foreman and equipment operators do this.
