- Job Duties:
- Physically demanding duties related to new and re-roofing projects. Assist more experienced roofers and crew leaders by using, supplying, or holding materials and tools. Unload materials and tools from work trucks. Remove old roofing materials. Sweep and clean roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials. Set ladders, scaffolds, and hoists, and use the same to take supplies to roofs. Cover roofs with layers of roofing felt or similar materials to prepare for installation. Assist with re-roofing process as directed by foreman. Maintain tools and clean work area and equipment. Assist with other projects ancillary to roofing projects. All duties to be performed utilizing proper fall protection and scaffolding.
