Job Duties:

This position will tear down, set-up, clean and maintain banquet facilities for daily functions. This includes cleaning tables, removing dirty dishes, replacing soiled table linens; replenishing the supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware and dishes, supplying service bars with food, serving water condiments, and coffee/tea/soft drinks to patrons. Banquet houseman will ensure the correct and timely set-up of all banquet event order functions to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas.

Working conditions include a fast-paced work environment and must be capable of lifting/pushing up to 100 lbs, with or without assistance. Must be able to quickly move arms, hands, and fingers to grasp; manipulate, write, type, and assemble objects. The ability to walk; sit; stand for extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to comprehend and follow directions while effectively handling stress and difficult situations/interactions while also remaining focused and professional. Organized with attention to detail. Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards based upon the Resort policies and/or standards. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business volume but will generally be 5 days per week, weekends and holidays are not guaranteed off. This position will work one of the following shifts, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, or 4:00 pm to 1:00 am. Split shifts are possible. The business is open 7 days per week, 365 days per year including weekends and holidays. Modifications to the employees schedule may be made based upon business needs and volume. Advanced notice of this need may not always be possible, but all attempts will be made to communicate these changes as soon as possible. This is a tipped position, banquet housemen will earn $4.74 to $5.17 per hour plus tips or $15.31/hr ($22.97/hr O.T.) whichever is greater.
