Job Description

Full Time:
Yes
Number of Workers Requested:
17
Job Duties:
**RFI** Lemonade: On a cutting board, the lemons would be cut in half. See through plastic cups and lids would be brought from storage. A food service quality bin of ice with ice scoop would be placed into the work area. Workers serving lemonade would stand at the front counter, communicating with the customer. After taking the order, scoop ice into a cup, pick up (with gloved hand), and squeeze Lemon Juice into the cup, using a Juicer. Pre-mixed sugar water would be poured into the cup, and then the product would be served with lid and straw to the patron after payment. Corn Dogs: We purchase our corn dogs frozen, pre-battered and preskewered. The Corn Dogs are removed from the freezer and allowed to thaw. Once thawed out they are placed into the deep fryer. The timer for the deep fryer that is reserved for the corn dogs is pre-set, and when they are in the fryer for the proper amount of time the basket raises to allow for the oil to drain from the corn dogs. They are placed into a chafing dish on the front counter under a heat lamp. When a client orders one or more corn dogs, they are removed from the chafing dish and placed into the proper size serving boat. They are handed to the client who would go to the kiosk to add condiments and pick up any napkins or cutlery required. Cotton Candy: Cotton Candy is a combination of sugar and a commercially available product known as flossine, that adds color and flavoring to the finished product. A commercial grade cotton candy a/k/a floss machine is turned on, allowed to heat up, the sugar and flossine is mixed in appropriate amounts, and when the machine hits the correct temperature, the worker slowly pours from a small cup or measuring scoop, the mix into the center /heating element. This produces whisps of cotton candy that forms around the center of the machine. The worker learns how to spin the cotton candy cone within the large bowl, to capture and build what most persons would recognize as cotton candy. This is then slipped into a cotton candy bag and sealed either with a small tie and placed into a dry location for a few hours of storage until a client orders a cotton candy. Tables, chairs, decorations (which may include table cloths, napkin holders, signage, displays) are carried from one venue to another in the trailer. They would be moved by hand from the trailer and set up in the proper location, by hand. Items are not heavy (25 pounds or less) and can be moved by hand and set up without any tools. The dining area would be in close proximity to the food concessions stand. **Original** Perform variety of attending duties at mobile food concession.
