Job Duties:

Physically demanding construction labor duties related to general exterior residential repair work. Clean and prepare work area in advance of work. Coordinate (e.g., review manual work and notify general contractor of need for more specialized tradesman, as needed) and perform general construction labor duties related to replacement of damaged gutters, fascia, siding, and windows. Tasks may involve manual labor to assist in removing damaged gutters, fascia, and/or windows, physically lifting new materials provided by general contractor (e.g., finished gutters, new facie lumber, or finished casement windows) into place, and attaching or affixing such replacements using hammers, battery powered drivers, or air nailers. Perform building weatherization tasks, such as adding insulation or applying weather-stripping materials (e.g., manually stuff insulation around replacement window, manually affix weather-striping material around replacement windows, as needed). Apply caulking compounds by hand or caulking guns to protect against entry of water or air. May assist craft workers with repair of roof as needed (e.g., if needed, may assist roofers with tasks to repair / patch damaged shingles via tear off / removal of existing shingles and assist with covering / shingling process as directed by roofers). Remove debris from worksite. All duties to be performed utilizing proper installation methods and proper fall protection and scaffolding.
