Job Duties:

Bellhops will be responsible for receiving and marking baggage, greeting incoming guests and escorting them to their rooms, transporting guests about premises, maintaining clean lobbies or entrance areas, maintaining the lobby fireplace, coffee room, and guest activity station (such as setting up the table and keeping supplies stocked), delivering special requests to guests’ rooms, transferring luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, vehicles, or transportation terminals, by hand or using baggage carts, parking and retrieving guests’ and customers’ vehicles in specified areas in efficient and safe manner, performing driving and parking assignments per department policies and procedures, and keeping parking areas clean and orderly. In addition, Bellhops will be responsible for complying with traffic regulations to operate passenger vehicles such as vans (maximum 12 person capacity) in a safe and courteous manner, following relevant safety regulations and state laws while ensuring passengers do the same, reporting any vehicle malfunctions, needed repairs, or accidents and incidents when necessary, performing routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water, picking up and dropping off passengers at neighborhood locations, providing assistance entering and exiting vehicles and with luggage, communicating with front desk agents and concierges to exchange information and receive requests, reading maps and following written and verbal directions, regulating heating, lighting, and ventilation for passenger comfort, recording vehicle routes, cleaning and maintaining vehicle interiors and exteriors, and providing passengers with information or advice about the local area, points of interest, hotels, or restaurants. Bellhops may need to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm, 2:00pm to 9:00pm, or 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Special Requirements:

The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of guest-service experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club. Applicant must possess a valid U.S. or international drivers license prior to arrival in the United States and have a clean driving record.
