Job Duties:

Cooks will be responsible for the preparation of food and beverage products for customers by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines at DNC Parks & Resorts at Grand Canyon's property. Line Cooks will prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner items depending on shift worked. Examples of the types of food and beverage (“F&B”) products being cooked/prepared are hot cereals, eggs, meats, fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, salads, soups, creams, sauces, broths, dressings, yogurts, burgers, pizzas, starches, grains, and legumes. Techniques used include cutting, sauteing, grilling, baking, frying, boiling, steaming, mixing, whisking, and blending. Tools/equipment used include ovens, grills, pots, pans, knives, utensils, blenders, mixers, food processors, stand mixers, liquid dispensers, and whisks. They will also be responsible for the set up and operation of kitchen equipment that is used in food preparation. Keep workstation clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked. Follow supervisor's assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as food production. Work cooperatively with co-workers and management. Able to stand for long periods of time including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching. Able to lift 20lbs or more and work under variable temperatures. Responsibilities will also include ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail and move rapidly to coordinate multiple orders. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Special Requirements:

The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employer's expense.
