- Job Duties:
- As truss assemblers, workers will work as part of a team responsible for assembling wood trusses for commercial and residential buildings. Workers will use a component saw to cut out truss, assemble wood truss on table, use hammers to apply steel gusset plates at all joints, using a large press to fasten steel gussets, according to work order and blueprint specifications. Workers will stack and band together finished wood trusses and lumber to be prepared for delivery by using a forklift to load and upload lumber and trusses on to delivery trucks. One month of training will be provided.
