- Duties involve receiving payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits; issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers; assisting customers by providing information and resolving their complaints; establishing or identify prices of goods, or services, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners; processing merchandise returns and exchanges; maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas and completing other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans; stocking shelves, and marking prices on shelves and items. Shifts of 8 hours. Shifts and days of week vary. Business is open 7 days a week.
