- Job Duties:
- Perform a variety of physical and manual labor to clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and other waste materials. Maintain a clean jobsite and secure the jobsite each day to help eliminate potential hazards. Assist other skilled craftsmen, pump operators, and/or drivers, as needed. Operate hand or power tools such as rake, shovel, surveying and measuring equipment. Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Smooth or finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds. Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. May perform other job duties pursuant to 47-2061.00, Construction Laborers. F.a.5a-F.a.6b: 35+ hours/week. 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. 5 days per week, Mon-Fri. May work evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed. Schedule (including workdays) may vary. May work more than the guaranteed hours. May work overtime. OT varies and must be pre-approved. F.b.8a: Workers will be paid no less than the wage listed. Employer may pay higher wage rates to workers based on seniority with employer and level of skill. Overtime hours may vary. F.c.1: The H-2B Temporary General Construction Laborers will perform job duties at 3990 Delaware Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50313 and at multiple worksites within the area of intended employment, including the following counties: Boone, Story, Marshall, Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Madison, Warren and Marion (Iowa). F.d.1: Employer will provide daily transportation from 3990 Delaware Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50313 to and from worksites, or employee may report directly to the worksite on their own.
