Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** #1 Operating Equipment: Amusement ride, assist the public to their seats, make sure safety belts/bars in place, push the button to start the ride, monitor the public to ensure that they are safe, push the button to stop the ride, assist the public off of the ride. #2 Perform minor repairs or adjustments. If operator notes that signs, safety mats, or entrance gates are out of place, reposition them into their correct location using their hands. #3: Sell and Serve Refreshments: Corn Dogs: Corn dogs frozen, pre-battered and pre-skewered. Corn Dogs are thawed out. Once thawed out they are placed into the deep fryer. The timer for the deep fryer that is reserved for the corn dogs is pre-set, and when they are in the fryer for the proper amount of time the basket raises to allow for the oil to drain from the corn dogs. They are placed into a chafing dish on the front counter under a heat lamp. When a client orders one or more corn dogs, they are removed from the chafing dish and placed into the proper size serving boat. They are handed to the client who would go to the kiosk to add condiments and pick up any napkins or cutlery required. Nachos with Cheese /Jalapenos: Nacho Chips, Nacho Chip Cheese, Nacho Sliced Jalapenos, Nacho Trays are taken from storage and placed into the preparation area. A #10 can of Nacho Cheese Sause would be opened with a commercial grade can-opener and scooped into the top of a standard double boiler, to heat and maintain the cheese sauce at the proper temperature and consistency. With gloved hands, workers would scoop Chips into the Nacho Tray, scoop out hot cheese sauce with a ladle, sprinkle Sliced Jalapenos on top with gloved hands and hand the food product to client. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival, assembling, disassembling & operating equipment (game and/or food concessions) Provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; clean booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
