- Serve as cashier and customer service representative by communicating with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints. Accept payment from customers and make necessary changes. Balance receipts and payments. Use cash registers. Serve food and beverages to customers. Place food items into holding cabinets. Use correct packaging or wrap for serving. Select food items from serving areas and place on serving trays or in take-out bags. Brew coffee. Clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas. Stock serving stations and food items. Assist other crew members as needed. Follow workplace rules.
