Job Duties:
The functions that will be performed by the employee are driving moving trucks or vans, which are less than 26,000 pounds, primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or deliver packages. The employee may move merchandise, household goods, and objects into the vehicle. The employee will report any delays, accidents, or other traffic problems along designated route from facility to destination. The employee will follow safety procedures for vehicle operation. The employee will verify the contents of merchandise and goods with facility personnel before leaving. They will greet customers and clients and ensure safety of merchandise and goods. As these trucks are less than 26,000 pounds, they are considered light duty and do not require a Commercial Driver’s License. A class D or E driver’s license will be required. The type of process that the employee will work with is to drive moving trucks or vans to and from different delivery and pickup sites and may move merchandise, household goods, and objects into the vehicle. The equipment that will be used for this process are light duty moving trucks or vans, dollies, blankets, and hand trucks. The employee will follow safety procedures for vehicle operation and verify the contents of merchandise and goods with facility personnel before leaving.
