- Job Duties:
- Job duties include: Identifying nursery plant material for selection of purchase orders to be filled & assisting with nursery activities including pruning plants, planting, transplanting, and preparing plants for purchase orders such as cleaning and deadheading flowers. Checking nursery plant material to match purchase orders by identifying plant colors and container sizes such as 4" trays, 6" pots, and one-gallon containers, and placing plants onto metal racks by hand. Maintaining a clean and organized nursery by sweeping walkways, picking up empty pots, straightening rows, moving plants around the nursery as needed and organizing plants and rearranging rows to make space. Manually loading, and unloading plants and shrubs from trucks and trailers in the following sizes 3, 5, 7, 15 gallon. Lifting required up to 50 pounds. No direct sales with customers.
