- Job Duties:
- Perform the following duties under the direct supervision/ instruction of skilled Roofers/Journeymen: locate worn/torn areas in roofs, remove old roofing materials, clean work area, maintain tools/equipment, sweep/clean roofs in preparation for the application of new roofing materials, assist with installation of roofing materials, check to ensure completed roofs are watertight, load/unload materials/tools at job sites & other related Roofer Helper activities as per SOC/OES 47-3016 (onetonline.org). Assistance with installation of roofing materials includes carrying and placing roofing materials such as rigid insulation, DensDeck, single ply membrane, and pails of adhesive using tools such as hammers, trowel, tape measure, drills, and crescent wrenches.
