Job Duties:

Spread and level gravel base; install forms that will hold the concrete to the desired pitch and depth; may install and tie rebar; may transport concrete by wheelbarrow, pump, and/or bobcat to project; spread, level, and smooth concrete with concrete tools such as rakes, shovels, power trowel, power screed, and/or float; monitor weather conditions such as wind, heat, cold, and rain; use finishing and edging tools; saw cut expansion joints as directed per plans; apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete and waterproof or restore surface; may operate power vibrator to compact concrete; may install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete; may use pattern or stamp mats for the surface of the concrete for a decorative finish; operate saws, power trowels, concrete hand tools, brooms, floats, sprayers, and other small power tools; strap down materials in truck safely; keep correct fuel and oil in machines; clean concrete off tools.

Special Requirements:

M-F, Schedule varies depending on workload, weather, and concrete availability. Start time as early 5am and work as late 6pm. Some Saturdays optional if needed. Overtime varies. Able to lift 50lbs. 3 months experience required as concrete finisher.
