Job Duties:
Duties: Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Recreate menu items for restaurant and banquets. Develop consistency in cooking and presentation. Minimize food waste through cross utilization. Setup workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat). Use standard practices in kitchen sanitization. Store all food and other items properly. Requirements: 3 months experience in position; regular bending, stooping & stretching. Ability to be on feet for long periods of time. Ability to lift max weight of 50 lbs. Pre-employment background check will be carried out equally between the US workers and the H2B workers. Random drug screening upon reasonable suspicion or actions of impairment while at work. On the job training provided. Shifts: 6:30am to 11:00pm. 35 hours per week, minimum 5 rotating days including weekends and holidays. Rate of Pay: $17.25 per hour. O/T is possible at time and a half. Overtime is possible at $25.88 per hour. One free meal when working scheduled shift.
