Job Duties:

Assist in the daily operations of an ice cream and sandwich shop. Perform both front-of-house and kitchen duties, including preparing and cooking menu items such as sandwiches, fries, and fish and chips; scooping and serving ice cream; taking customer orders; operating the register; and maintaining a clean and friendly environment. Employees may rotate between kitchen and counter duties as needed. Job Duties Include: • Prepare and cook food items such as sandwiches, fries, and fish and chips • Scoop and serve ice cream and other desserts • Take customer orders and operate the cash register • Serve food and beverages to customers at the counter • Keep kitchen, service, and dining areas clean and organized • Wash kitchen equipment and utensils (no dishwashing of customer plates; disposable service ware is used) • Stock supplies and assist with general food service tasks • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment. Basic English communication skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Willingness to perform both kitchen and counter duties as needed. Be able to pass a background check. The anticipated start date is April 1, 2026, with an end date of October 14, 2026. The geographic area of intended employment is Woodstock, Vermont. On-the-job training is provided. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will reimburse the worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker. The employer will also provide to the H-2B workers, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
