Job Duties:

ABC Van Rentals, Inc. seeks six full-time, temporary Event Crew Members to assist with the setup, installation, operation, and teardown of event equipment for weddings, family reunions, festivals, community gatherings, and private events held throughout Lincoln, Minnehaha, and McCook Counties in South Dakota. Event Crew Members will work as part of a coordinated team to assemble and secure large and small tents, stages, flooring, tables, chairs, fencing, and decorative structures at outdoor and indoor event locations. Workers will unload and load trucks, move heavy materials by hand or using dollies and carts, assemble tent frames and sidewalls, anchor tents using stakes or ballast, lay protective flooring and carpets, hang temporary string lights or decorative fixtures that plug into existing power sources, set up seating and tables according to layout plans, and confirm that all equipment is clean, functional, and safely positioned before each event. During events, workers may adjust tent walls, furnishings, or decorations as directed by supervisors. After the event, workers will disassemble and remove tents, flooring, and all rented equipment, clean the event area, load materials into company vehicles, and return the inventory to the warehouse for inspection, cleaning, and storage. Workers must maintain equipment organization, document any damage or missing items, and report issues to management. The work is physically demanding and requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Applicants must have at least three (3) months of prior experience in event setup, tent installation, construction labor, or similar physically intensive work. The work is physically demanding and requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, bending, reaching, and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
