Job Duties:

Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures by performing the following duties. May be designated according to specific work performed. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: follow safety rules at all times; spread concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel; level concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, with hand held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping; smooth and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete; mold expansion joints and edges; produce rough concrete surface with broom; mix cement with hoe or concrete-mixing machine; break up and repair old concrete surfaces; and other related duties as assigned.

IN LIEU OF THE 3 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN A CONSTRUCTION OCCUPATION (CIVIL, COMMERCIAL, OR RESIDENTIAL ARE ALL ACCEPTABLE), EMPLOYER WOULD ACCEPT A SUITABLE COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCIE THAT IT DEEMS TO BE EQUIVALENT TO 3 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN A CONSTRUCTION OCCUPATION (CIVIL, COMMERCIAL, OR RESIDENTIAL ARE ALL ACCEPTABLE). 1) Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pound occasionally.
