Job Duties:
Assist the Operations/Project Manager by performing a variety of construction and maintenance tasks, including digging, grading, installing pipes, preparing surfaces, and erecting or dismantling temporary structures. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Install sewer, water, or storm drainpipes, using pipe-laying machinery or laser guidance equipment. Load and unload materials, tools and equipment. Such as pipe, manholes, fittings, and related materials. Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Position, join, align, or seal pipes. Occasionally operate equipment under direction of the Operations/Project Manager such as skidsteer, loader, forklift. Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones. Perform routine maintenance and care of tools and equipment such as hand tools.
