Job Duties:
RFI Response: All spaces are within the hotel property, including the hotel lobby, front desk area, hallways, elevators, stairwells, public restrooms, guest laundry room, fitness center, employee break rooms, housekeeping storage areas, and linen rooms, in accordance with company standards. Duties include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; wiping and disinfecting surfaces; cleaning glass and mirrors; emptying trash receptacles; dusting furniture and fixtures; sanitizing bathrooms; and replenishing guest room supplies, using standard commercial cleaning products, disinfectants, mops, buckets, brooms, vacuums, sponges, trash liners, carts, and basic janitorial tools. 2. Housekeepers will be laundering, folding and storing hotel linens such as bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, bathmats, blankets, mattress pads, and housekeeping cleaning cloths; and inspecting these mentioned items for visible stains, tears, or damage. If stains are present, the Housekeeper may apply standard, hotel-approved stain-removal products prior to re-washing. Duties include the use of basic stain pretreatment solutions but do not require specialized dry-cleaning or advanced textile restoration techniques. Equipment used for laundering includes washers, dryers, laundry carts, folding tables, detergents and stain removers. Original JDs: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with company standards. Clean and service guest rooms. Monitor and restock housekeeping carts, storage closets, and guest room supplies, including toiletries, towels, linens, and cleaning products. Report any shortages or inventory needs to the supervisor. Support laundry operations by sorting, loading, and unloading washers and dryers; folding and storing linens; and inspecting items for stains or damage. Report linen shortages or issues as needed. Ensure all areas meet brand and safety expectations. Respond courteously to guest requests, provide assistance when needed, and communicate any guest concerns to management.
