Job Duties:

***RFI response*** Under close supervision workers will help brickmasons, blockmasons, stonemasons, or tile and marble setters by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include using, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment. In training only, these workers may also perform the following tasks and use the following tools and equipment: Workers will hold, hand or retrieve tools and materials to skilled brick masons. Mix mortar, plaster, and grout, manually or using machines, according to standard formulas. Erect scaffolding or other installation structures. Cut materials to specified sizes for installation, using power saws or tile cutters. Modify material moving, mixing, grouting, grinding, polishing, or cleaning procedures, according to installation or material requirements. Transport materials, tools, or machines to installation sites, manually or using conveyance equipment. Common Tools used: Wheel barrows, Scaffolding, Masonry saws, Concrete Mixers, Hanel Shovels, Front end loaders, Levels, Framing Squares, Bolster Chisels, Margin Trowels, Hammers, ladders and other common brick and block laying tools. ***Original*** Position offered is for a hardscape landscape laborer who, UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISION, will assist those with more experience to work with and model company hardscaping methods and procedures in installation of typical hardscape materials on landscape construction projects relating to golf courses, athletic fields, and parks. Workers will typically work with boulders, stone, pavers, decomposed granite, decorative edging, exposed aggregate surfacing, and other related materials for walkways, footings, walls, patios, driveways, curbs, retaining walls, benches and water features. Excavation, grading, compacting, and backfilling soil. Workers also perform landscaping duties such as: planting/sodding/seeding, watering. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Lifting required up to 50 pounds. Work performed on local area jobsites with employer provided transportation to and from jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment. No experience required. On the job training provided. No education required.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to lift and maneuver into place landscaping materials up to 50 pounds in weight. NO EXPERIENCE/ ON-THE-JOB TRAINING. THESE WORKERS WILL BE CLOSELY SUPERVISED HELPERS. Employees are subject to random and post-accident drug testing and random background screening at no cost to the worker. The job requires the applicant to be qualified, ready, willing, able, and available to perform during the entire employment at all the designated worksites; and to follow workplace rules.
