Duties: Washing dishes and all cooking materials by machine or hand, maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition, sweeping and scrubbing floors, and sorting and removing trash. Assist in basic food preparation as directed by the department chef. Food-related assistance is limited, routine, and non-skilled, and performed under direct supervision. Food-related tasks include washing and rinsing fruits and vegetables prior to preparation by culinary staff; portioning and arranging pre-prepared or chef-prepared foods into containers; assembling simple cold items such as bread baskets, garnish trays, and condiment Sensitivity: Confidential containers; assisting with plating by placing prepared items on dishes as directed; replenishing buffet stations with pre-cooked foods; and transporting prepared food to service areas. Equipment used includes commercial dishwashers and sinks, basic hand tools (knives, peelers, cutting boards), food storage containers and trays, refrigerators, steam tables or warming cabinets for holding only, and carts and racks.

Requirements: Three (3) months experience at a high end restaurant, resort or private club. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Pre-employment Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Test is required.
Rate of Pay: $16.69 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime available at $25.04 per hour. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus through the Employer’s recognition/incentive program.
