Job Duties:

Assist the head chef in managing and coordinating daily kitchen operations. Supervise, train, and develop kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques, recipe execution, and presentation standards. Oversee and coordinate the preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items to ensure consistency, quality, and timely service. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to verify proper inventory levels, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Monitor portion control, storage procedures, and use of ingredients to reduce waste and maintain cost efficiency. Communicate effectively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction. Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and ordering of supplies as directed by the head chef. 12 months experience as cook, prep cook or similar kitchen experience preferred. Shifts are: 1:00PM – 10:00PM or til closing (whichever is later) 40+ hrs/wk. Employees will work 5- 6 days/wk but days of the week and shifts will vary weekly. Up to 15 hours of overtime/wk possible. Employees must be able to commit to entire period of need. Will train. Pay will be within range $24.59 - $28.00 based upon performance at employers’ discretion. Possible bonuses based upon performance at employer's discretion. Employer will make all deductions from paycheck as required by law. A standard work week will be used to compute wages. Employer will provide employee(s), without charge or deposit charge any tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(k). Employee will be reimbursed for initial inbound subsistence and transportation after 50% of employment period is completed. Upon completion of the period of need, or if employee is dismissed early, employer will pay for workers reasonable costs and subsistence of outbound, return, transportation back to where employee came from, unless the employee does not return. The amount of transportation reimbursed will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence for travel will be provided at a rate of $16.28/day up to a max of $68.00/day with proof by receipts. Employees will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period to the total employment period.
