- Job Duties:
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at highway and roadway construction projects. Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Report to supervisor or manager. Operate a variety of hand tools to prepare roadway and constructions sites. Prepare area for installation of Concrete, Plastic & Steel Pipe. Assist with putting pipe together, laying fabric and rock. Shovel out gravel and/or rock in trench beds. Maintain a clean job site, pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety manager, or HR manager.
