- Job Duties:
- Workers will rake, smooth, flatten, and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools such as screed, hand float, finishing trowel, groover, etc. Workers will also pound stakes with a hammer and use an impact driver to set screws to connect stakes to the concrete form. Workers will use rakes or shovels to grade and backfill excavation areas. Workers will finish concrete with wood floats, mag floats, and steel trowels. Workers will regularly use tools such as hammers, circular saws, impact drivers, tape measures, and string lines. Workers will also assemble and disassemble forms using the tools mentioned earlier and set the wall forms foundation by hand.
