Job Duties:
***RFI response*** A Landscape Maintenance Technician performs landscaping and hardscape installation duties, including installing hardscape materials such as pavers and dry-stack retaining walls (without mortar). Tasks include preparing work areas by excavating, grading, and leveling surfaces; measuring and marking layout lines; installing and compacting base materials such as gravel or sand; placing, aligning, and leveling pavers according to design specifications; cutting pavers as needed for proper fit; and installing dry-stack retaining wall blocks by stacking, leveling, and aligning units to ensure stability and proper drainage. They use hand tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, tampers, levels, measuring tapes, hammers, chisels, rubber mallets, and masonry saws. They may also use or assist with powered equipment and machinery, including plate compactors, concrete or masonry saws, skid steers, and other landscaping equipment under supervision. Additional duties include site cleanup and assisting with general landscaping tasks related to hardscape installation. ***Original*** Terra-scape Enterprises, Inc. (dba Terra-scape) in Edgewater, FL. is hiring six (6) full-time Landscape Maintenance Technicians. Daily transportation will be provided from a central location to worksites in Volusia County. The position involves mowing, weed eating, edging, blowing, weed cleanup, chemical spraying, maintaining and repairing sprinkler systems, and installing hardscape materials like pavers and dry stack retaining walls (without mortar).
