Job Duties:
• Help host or hostess by greeting, seating, and thanking guests. • Prepare tables for meals by adjusting chairs and setting up silverware and glassware. • Present menus to customers, inform them of any daily specials, answer questions about menu items and make recommendations when requested. • Take orders of food and beverages from customers and serve orders. • Talk to customers regarding the meal and service and take corrective actions if necessary. • Prepare checks with total meal cost and sales tax and take payments from customers. • Take dishes, cups, glasses from tables to kitchen for cleaning. • Clean tables after customers leave the table after finishing their meal. • Refill the containers of salt, pepper, sugar, sauce, and creamer.
