Job Duties:

Duties include sod laying, mowing, shoveling and spreading gravel, spreading grass seed, sod and/or straw, leaf removal, trimming/pruning trees, shrubs and plants, installation of plants, trees and shrubbery, watering plants & lawns, plant transplanting, fertilizing, digging, raking, and shoveling. Leveling ground in preparation for sod, grass seed, or gravel. Workers may gather and remove litter. Powered equipment used will include lawn mowers, weed eaters, and trimmers. All the trimming/pruning will take place on the ground. The workers will not perform any pruning or trimming activities above ground level.

Special Requirements:

Must have valid driver's license. Post-hire drug screen at employer's expense. Must be able to lift 50lbs, extensive sitting, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing/pulling, exposure to extreme temperatures, 3 months experience required. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
