Job Duties:

Smooth, level, and finish surfaces of freshly poured concrete on construction projects such as foundations, floors, walks, sidewalks, curbs, driveways, roads, curbs, and other concrete surfaces. Workers perform manual labor using a variety of hand and power tools such as shovels, rakes, floats, straightedges, and trowels, as well as power screeds and power trowels to ensure concrete surfaces meet required grades, textures, and finishes. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints. Finish concrete surfaces to specified textures by edging, jointing, floating, troweling, brooming, or stamping. Patch surface defects, fill cracks or voids, and repair damaged concrete areas. Remove forms following curing and clean work areas and tools.
