- Job Duties:
- Sommelier job duties include helping customers and servers select wine pairings, procuring and managing wines, and conducting the wine service. A successful Sommelier has an in-depth knowledge of wines, as well as the ability to quickly recall and share complex information about different types of wines, wine pairings and tasting notes. Their main responsibility is to promote wine sales through staff and customer education, and by ordering wines, maintaining the wine stock, creating a wine list and writing wine descriptions, suggesting food and wine pairings to servers and customers, recommending wines based on customer preferences, and conducting wine tastings for staff and customers.

- Special Requirements:
- Requires twelve months experience as a sommelier or similar customer-facing service role. Fluent English speaking required. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers upon suspicion of use. Work schedule will vary and will include evenings, holidays, and Saturdays and Sundays. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Shift hours may vary. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
