Job Duties:

***RFI response*** Cora Texas Manufacturing is in need of Maintenance Helpers that are skilled in operating and repairing all sugar mill equipment including the following: Mills or diffusers are used to extract the juice from the cane: Juice Heaters are used to remove fine particles of bagasse; Clarifiers help impurities in the juice to settle out of solution; Filters separates muddy juice into filtrated juice; Evaporators remove most of the water so the juice thickens; Vacuum Pans boil the heavy syrup, this process develops sugar crystals resulting in a mixture of sugar crystals and molasses; Crystallizers are used to cause the growth and development of sugar crystals; and Centrifugal separate the sugar crystals from the molasses. The Maintenance Helper will operate any of the equipment listed above during the manufacturing of raw sugar and will assist with cleaning, repairing or replacing any of the equipment listed in preparation for the upcoming manufacturing season. ***Original*** Help installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement and repair of industrial equipment. Perform duties such as furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to other workers, cleaning work area, machines, and tools and holding materials or tools for other workers during the harvesting season and after harvesting in preparation for the upcoming season.

Special Requirements:

Must be willing to work 7 days a week, varying 8 and 10-12 hour shifts (11am-7pm; 7pm-3am; 3am-11am) or (11am-11pm; 11pm-11am); 56+ hours per week, overtime paid after 40 hours a week during and after harvesting season. 40 hours a week will be offered after harvesting season until the end of the contract. Overtime as needed after harvesting season. Workers will have 30 minutes paid lunch break during the workday.
