- Job Duties:
- Harvest and clean oysters, unload boat and clean boat. * Load empty sacks onto boat * Fill out daily tickets to attach to harvested oyster sacks * Pull harvested oysters from water onto boat. * Sort oysters to ensure only legal size are harvested. * Clean oysters utilizing hatchets to remove spats * Unload and stack harvested oysters from boat to designated pallets on dock * Clean and refuel boat to prepare for next days trip Deckhands should wear: gloves, waterproof vest and rubber boots (provided by employer) See attached Addendum

- Lift/carry up to 100 pounds. Employer paid drug test is Post Accident. The employer may conduct lawful, job-related screening of applicants, including inquiries into criminal history, where permitted by applicable federal, state, and local laws. Any consideration of criminal history will be conducted on an individualized basis and employment decisions will be made in a nondiscriminatory manner consistent with applicable laws and business necessity. No infectious diseases; seafood allergies may be fatal. Employer will provide daily transportation from office/dock to and from job sites in public and private waters off the Texas coast. There is no itinerary as there are multiple locations.

- Overtime is not guaranteed but if worked rate is paid at time and a half per hour above 40 hours per week. Raise/bonus at employer's discretion. Opportunity for higher pay based on experience/performance. Piece rate is paid at $5-$7 per sack pending size or guaranteed prevailing wage rate whichever is higher.
