Job Duties:

Snow Removal Laborers will assist in clearing snow and ice from commercial and residential properties, walkways, entryways, driveways, sidewalks, stairwells, parking areas, and pedestrian paths during snow events. Workers will use a combination of manual tools and powered snow equipment. Duties include: Shovel snow and apply de-icing agents such as salt or sand to surface, operate walk-behind or small ride-on snow removal machines (e.g., single-seat snow throwers, snow blowers, or powered sweepers), clear snow from tight or elevated spaces (e.g., stairs, decks, rooftops when safe), Manually load and carry bags or buckets of de-icing materials (such as salt or calcium chloride), and apply them using hand-held, walk behind, or backpack spreaders to sidewalks, stairs, and other pedestrian areas to prevent ice buildup and ensure safe footing, maintain equipment by cleaning and refueling; report malfunctions to supervisors, Safely store snow removal tools and de-icing materials on site, and manually transport them between work areas using hand carts, sleds, or by carrying them as needed, follow all site safety protocols, including proper snow disposal procedures, may assist in post-event cleanup or snow relocation efforts. The job will require the worker to be exposed to weather/outdoor, noise, cold temperatures and to wear common protective/safety equipment. The worker must have attention to detail, and be thorough in completing work tasks, cooperative, and responsible.
