Job Duties:

Landscape and maintain grounds of property using hand and/or power tools or equipment. Workers will perform a variety of tasks to maintain various landscape structures and designs which structures and designs include existing lawns, flower beds, existing trees and tree planters and buildings around which lawns are located. Work will include sod laying, planting, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and maintenance of existing plantings and landscape and removal of old or dead plantings. Position requires good hand/eye coordination and ability to lift weight as required to carry and use landscaping equipment and material needed for assigned tasks, such as trimmers, mowers, blowers, fertilizer, mulch, and new shrubs and trees and other plants and equipment. Employer will rely on the representations of potential worker and Employer's observations to determine if worker meets physical requirements of this position. Able to tolerate outdoor work temperature expected in the St. Louis MO/IL MSA Area (over 90 degrees and under 32 degrees Fahrenheit possible).

REQUIREMENTS: NO MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. ABLE BODIED TO USE COMMERCIAL MOWERS, LEAF BLOWERS, CHAIN SAWS, SMALLER TRACTORS, ELECTRIC CLIPPERS, SOD CUTTERS AND PRUNING SAWS AND OTHER LANDSCAPING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT. NO TRAINING PROVIDED, GOOD HAND/EYE COORDINATION; ABLE TO LIFT WEIGHT AS REQUIRED TO CARRY AND USE LANDSCAPING EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL; MUST BE ABLE TO TOLERATE TEMPERATURE EXTREMES CONSISTENT WITH WORKING OUTSIDE IN A WIDE VARIETY OF WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS AND ST. LOUIS MSA ( 90+ DEG F TO UNDER 32 DEG F); EMPLOYER WILL RELY ON WORKER REPRESENTATIONS THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO MEET THE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS. WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS, TO PERFORM WORK AND ON EMPLOYERS OBSERVATIONS.
