Job Duties:
• Prepare, cook, grill, and assemble food items such as meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, soups, salads, and sandwiches according to established recipes and instructions. • Perform food preparation tasks including washing, cutting, mixing, measuring, and portioning ingredients. • Coordinate preparation and timing of food items to ensure meals are completed at the same time. • Set up, maintain, and break down assigned cooking stations. • Operate standard kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, mixers, steam kettles, slicers, and knives. • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards. • Ensure work areas, utensils, and equipment are clean and sanitary at all times. • Properly cover, label, date, and store food items according to food safety guidelines. • Measure and combine ingredients using approved procedures. • Bake and cook food items using production ovens or grills, monitor cooking times and temperatures. • Minimize food waste and properly use kitchen supplies and equipment. • Tailor recipes to members'/guests' requests for allergies and substitutions. • Follow all equipment safety standards as a guideline and report any equipment issues to management. • Cook, bake, and decorate savory and sweet foods in a professional kitchen environment.

This position operates in a private club setting. Work areas may be crowded and noisy. Work is performed in a commercial kitchen environment where air may be moist, warm, and odorous from cooking foods with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chefs knives. Employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and fire. The kitchen floor may be slippery from moisture and grease. The employee may be exposed to hazards, including, but not limited to, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. May require the use of stairs to climb daily. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions while moving food from different areas. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid and noisy environment. Additional Wage Information:
Overtime may be available and guaranteed at no less than $29.82 per hour (time and one-half the regular rate of $19.88 per hour) for hours worked over forty (40) in a workweek (Monday through Sunday). Raises and bonuses are available based on performance or length of service with the employer. Free meals are provided to employees while on duty. Optional medical and vision benefits are available to employees whose expected period of employment exceeds six (6) months. An optional 401(k) retirement plan is available to eligible employees following 30 days of continuous employment. Optional shared employee housing is available for workers relocating to begin employment. If accepted, the cost of housing is $650 per month plus an additional up-front security deposit of $350. Daily transportation to and from the worksite is provided at no charge to workers who elect to stay in the optional assisted housing. All other employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the worksite. Transportation is provided to all workers to and from the airport upon arrival and to their respective housing units at no charge.
