Job Duties:
Nine (9) temporary full-time Ground Person positions available for work beginning October 1, 2026 and continuing through April 30, 2027, working day shift with forty hours work provided weekly - Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm, at $21.60 or higher per hour, with overtime offered often at $32.40 or higher per hour. Ground Person duties include trimming, pruning, and hedging, at times using ladders, such as with ornamental trees and taller hedges and shrubs. Duties also include collecting debris and branches from winter storm damage, and then hauling out debris, and also raking and using the chipper, and also applying protective mulch and safe fertilizers; also loading and unloading crew vehicles. Ground Persons support our climbers and diagnosticians through ground-support duties. The position is entry-level and non-agricultural. Ground Persons attend a daily Safety Briefing. No previous training, experience, education required, nor on-the-job training, as clear and simple instructions are given onsite by supervising crew leaders. Ground Persons will work on the following types of properties: residential and commercial and municipal properties and landscapes that include lawns and campuses and town halls, throughout the listed counties.
