Job Duties:

Install resilient flooring, vinyl plank, laminate, linoleum, and cork flooring in commercial and residential facilities. Inspect surfaces to determine layout and identify defects. Prepare subfloors by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling cracks, holes, or uneven areas to ensure a smooth, level base. Measure and cut flooring materials using hand tools, tape measures, straightedges, and utility knives. Apply adhesives, glues, or mastic evenly to subfloors using notched trowels. Lay flooring materials according to specific design layouts, aligning seams and edges precisely. Use floor rollers and hand rollers to smooth out air bubbles and ensure secure bonding. Install transition strips, base shoes, and moldings at doorways and walls. Clean up excess adhesive and job site debris. Safely operate standard hand and power tools including miter saws, undercut saws, and jamb saws. Maintain and organize equipment. Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Work involves frequent kneeling, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
