Job Duties:

Cooks III will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant, performing “spot” checks on lower level cooks to ensure recipes and cleaning guidelines are being followed, assisting managers in creating prep lists for other kitchen employees, cleaning and inspecting kitchen equipment, reporting any issues immediately to supervisor, following procedures to create a safe work environment for themselves and others, and assisting team members to ensure the best quality of food and cleanliness in the kitchen. Cooks III may be required to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Special Requirements:

The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least one (1) year of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Criminal Background Check required Post-Hire to move into A-Basin Housing On-the-Job Training provided. Will Train. Following Shifts are available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Work hours from: 07:00am-4:00pm, 08:00am to 05:00pm; 09:00am to 06:00pm, shifts based on the time of the season, daylight, and need. Hourly Wage: $22.00 to $27.50 per hour (We offer $22.00 to start, we offer a 3% merit increase to returning employees) Overtime may be available at $33.00 to $41.25 per hour. Possible Wage Increase: Raises may be given based on merit, experience and lead roles. Bonus: Employees who meet their seasonal commitment will receive an End of Season bonus calculated at .50/hour worked through the season and distributed the month following our closing date. Fringe Benefits: Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker's sole benefit, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, and life Insurance and 401k (for eligible employees). If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck. Employees will also be eligible for paid time off, sick time, bereavement leave, unlimited skiing/riding at the resort, and free transferable lift tickets for every 120 hours worked.
