- Job Duties:
- Produce Processing: Wash, peel, cut, seed, and slice fruits, vegetables, and grains to prepare ingredients for assembly. This is performed using standard tools such as kitchen knives, peelers, corers, and cutting boards. Catering Order Fulfillment: Portion, wrap, and package prepared food items for large-scale events and catering orders. Tasks involve the use of measuring tools, scales, catering trays, and packaging materials like plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Workplace Sanitation: Maintain high standards of hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting food preparation counters, work areas, and surfaces using food-safe chemicals and sanitizing supplies. Ingredient Handling: Retrieve and transport raw items—including proteins (meats, chicken, seafood) and dry goods—from storage or walk-in coolers to designated prep stations using utility carts and storage bins.
